The family that picks up when a Columbia County number calls a Flagler County shop
One headquarters, two first names you'll hear often, and a route that ends at Lake DeSoto. Here's who we are from your side of SR 100.

One address, and it isn’t in Lake City
Cook’s Air Conditioning & Heating Specialists is headquartered at 37 Fairmont Ln in Palm Coast. That is the only address the company has, and we’d rather say so than list a suite number here that’s really a mail drop. Lake City sits 121 miles west of that door, roughly two hours and twenty-four minutes with SR 100 running nearly the whole way and ending at Watertown on the east edge of town. Columbia County earned a place on the schedule the way most of our territory did: a customer asked, told a neighbor, and eventually there were enough calls to plan routes around.
Jerry sells it, Sean fixes it
The company is family-owned and operated, and the two names you’ll hear are Jerry, who handles sales and system design, and Sean, who leads the technical side. Both appear in our Google reviews by first name because they are the people in the driveway. The crews they’ve trained carry the same approach: diagnose before quoting, explain before replacing, and leave the decision with the homeowner.
A Lennox dealer that repairs everything else
On installations Cook’s is a Lennox dealer, which means the Healthy Climate and Ultimate Comfort System lines, factory training and warranty registration handled for you. On repairs the badge doesn’t matter: Carrier, Bryant, Trane and whatever a previous owner put in a 1970s ranch off SR 247 all get the same diagnosis. In Lake City that matters because the housing runs from turn-of-the-century frame houses downtown to brand-new slabs in Forest Cove, and no single brand covers that spread.
Clinics, cold storage and half-acre lots
We work residential and commercial both. In Columbia County that means homes in Mayfair and Country Club Estates alongside the medical offices around the VA Medical Center and Lake City Medical Center, hotels at the I-75/I-10 interchange, and the warehouse and trucking buildings north of town. A rooftop package unit on US 90 and a heat pump behind a manufactured home on a Clay Electric line are on the same route sheet.
What the distance means for your appointment
We’ll never claim a truck is around the corner when it’s two hours out. Ask dispatch whether a technician is already working the area; when one is, the wait shrinks to the drive across the county. Emergency calls are answered at any hour with no after-hours surcharge, and the arrival window you’re given is the real one. Maintenance customers ride the standing route, so the truck shows up on a predictable day.
About the company, asked from Lake City
Are the technicians who come to Lake City Cook's employees?
Cook’s is one family-owned company dispatched from Palm Coast, with no Lake City franchisee and Sean leading the technical side; the dispatcher can tell you who is coming when you book. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY: staffing of the Lake City route]]
Will the person who quotes my system be reachable after it's installed?
Yes. Jerry handles sales and doesn’t disappear after the signature; the same office number reaches him, and the technician who installed the system is the one who services it.
Do you work on the hangar homes at Cannon Creek Airpark and other unusual buildings?
We do. Hangar-attached homes, downtown storefronts with apartments above, metal farm buildings with a conditioned office and manufactured homes on acreage are all on the Columbia County route.
Need a hand in Lake City?
Call any hour. Real people answer, and there are no after-hours charges.
