How the ask happens after a Lake City job

When a repair or install is finished, the technician walks the homeowner through what was done, answers questions, and then asks, once, for a Google review. The link goes to the same business listing from every market we serve. Nobody is coached on what to write, no one is offered anything for writing it, and nothing on this page quotes a customer; their words stay on Google, in their own order.

Why Columbia County gets its own page

Cook’s covers Lake City from Palm Coast, 121 miles off. Someone in Summers Ridge deciding whether to call a company that far away deserves to see what other Columbia County customers experienced, which is why Cook’s asks every Lake City customer for a review and will give them a section of their own here once there are enough. It also keeps us honest: if arrival windows slip out here, that is where it would show first.

What to mention in a Lake City review

The details that help most out here: whether the arrival time matched what dispatch said, which matters more at this distance than anywhere else we work; the explanation you got of what failed, why, and what the choice was; how a night or weekend call after a summer storm was handled and whether the price moved; and the names of the people who showed up, because Jerry and Sean read every one.

If the review is critical

It gets read, called about and fixed where possible. A three-star review from a rental near Florida Gateway College that says the technician was late tells us something about the route; a glowing one tells us less. Both get a reply from a person.

About the reviews themselves

Do I have to leave the review while the technician is standing there?

No. The technician mentions it once and leaves a card with the link. Most people write it that evening or not at all, and either is fine with us.

Why would a Lake City job show up next to a review from somewhere else?

Google keeps one listing for the whole company, so every market’s reviews land in the same feed. That is what you see here, linked from the main Cook’s site; a Columbia County section will be added once enough Lake City customers have written one.

Will Cook's respond if I leave three stars and explain why?

Yes, from the office and not from a template. A specific complaint about a late arrival in Watertown is more useful to us than a one-word five-star, and it gets a phone call as well as a reply.

Reviews from Lake City customers will appear here. Cook's is collecting Google reviews by market so that what you read on this page comes from your own neighbors.

Placeholder until launch

In the meantime, the company-wide reviews are on the Cook's main site.
